I have been in the BPO Industry for almost 7 years and this has helped me improve my skills not just in terms of communication but also in handling customers' concerns. I have worked for Amazon UK where I used to take continuous phone calls and then send customers emails in reference to our conversation after each call. I also worked for an online catalogue that is based in the UK for more than 2 years as a Customer Service Representative. I simultaneously took phone calls, answered emails and attended to letters sent by post coming from our customers on a daily basis regarding pre- and post-order inquiries.
